| As lead online advertising designer for Gateway.com I created the majority of our external web advertising. My graphics would appear on other sites and direct Internet traffic to Gateway. These banners were once created by an outside design group and they developed the original"curved" template seen in some of my samples. This template was kept for awhile but eventually we experimented with a number of new templates and non-template designs. The most common banners were 468 pixels wide by 60 pixels high, 12K maximum file size and animated. The challenge was to preserve image and design quality while staying under the maximum file size. Below are some of the banners. |
